Student Shout Out

Hey all! My name is Elena. I am a freshman doing WVS through Hudson High School. I absolutely love online school. It gives me freedom, independence, the ability to take however much or little time needed on assignments, and teaches me problem solving skills. I had never done an online class before so there was a lot to figure out. If I am learning anything for the future, it is how to “just figure it out”! Online school has made it possible for my family to go to Sri Lanka for almost 2 months this past winter. While there, we experienced a new way of life. A simple way of life. We ate the same meal most nights- rice and curry, we rotated between 5 shirts, and walked into town daily to pick up more rice and potatoes because our fridge was too small to hold lots of food. We had no oven, no dryer, a ton of ants, and the daily surf. A lot was learned, and I am so grateful Hudson High School has this option so I can experience and get the opportunity of traveling around. Below are some pictures of our trip!
